SLOW COOKER ROAST BEEF

The perfect cook without much effort.

the beef outside round roast dry with paper towels

SEASON, SEASON, SEASON

all sides generously with salt and pepper

ADD, ADD, ADD

some oil in a skillet, add the sliced white onions and sautée until soft

ADD, ADD, ADD

the minced garlic to the skillet and sautée an additional minute or so until fragrant

ADD, ADD, ADD

more oil to the skillet then sear on all sides until browned

ADD, ADD, ADD

the sauce ingredients to the skillet and simmer for a few minutes, scraping any browned bits

ADD, ADD, ADD

the onions and garlic, carrots, fresh herbs, seared beef, and liquid to the slow cooker, secure the lid

COOK, COOK, COOK

on low for 2-3 hours or until the beef reaches an internal temperature of 130°F

REST, REST, REST

the roast beef on a cutting board before slicing it thinly against the grain
