Step away from the frying pan (and splattered bacon grease!) This recipe for bacon in the oven might convince you to never make it that way again!

Instructions
Turn the broiler to high and place the oven rack in the highest position. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil** (see notes)
Arrange the bacon strips in a single layer. Try to avoid any overlapping or touching.
Once the oven is super hot and ready, place the bacon under the broiler (should be about 3-4 inches away) and close the door. Cook for 3 minutes, remove the pan and flip the bacon.
Return the bacon back to the oven. This is where you're going to want to keep a close eye because it will cook up very quickly (I use the oven light to see inside as it cooks). Cook an additional 2-3 minutes.
Remove from the oven and immediately transfer the bacon strips to a paper towel lined plate to drain off the excess grease. After a few minutes, you can pat the tops dry with a clean paper towel.
Serve with all your favourite breakfast foods or add to pastas, pizza, bowls, sandwiches, dips and more!
Notes
This recipe is for regular bacon. If you're using thick cut bacon, you might have to add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.RECIPE EDIT: Use the parchment paper at your own discretion. I've never had an issue with it. However, some readers have reported the parchment paper catching fire under the broiler. Either watch your bacon like a hawk as it broils, or just use foil instead.
