Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and stir to mix well.
For best results, place in an airtight container in the fridge for 30 minutes before use to allow flavours to mingle.

Recipe card time does not reflect the time it takes for the tartar sauce to chill in the fridge.OPTIONAL: If you prefer a smoother consistency, blend your tartar sauce in a food processor or blender or cut your onion and pickles much smaller. Personally, I enjoy a thicker tartar sauce and the crunch and texture these ingredients add to the sauce, so I don't bother with this step.
